The proceedings will be published in a volume of CIM publications. All the contributions (a maximum of 10 pages) will be refereed and the deadline for the submission of originals is 15 November 1999. The typescripts must be prepared according to the style files pdg209.sty (for LaTeX2.09) or pdg2e.sty (for LaTeX2e). You may see an example for LaTeX2.09 in sampl209.ps, sampl209.tex and an example for LaTeX2e in sample2e.ps, sample2e.tex. The typescripts must be sent to:

TRAVEL INFORMATION
 
 

If you travel by train, you should buy a ticket to Coimbra.

 

If you come by plane, you should buy a ticket to Lisbon or to Oporto. The airport that is most convenient for intercontinental flights is Lisbon, although Oporto is closer to Coimbra. Further, the airport in Oporto is not very close to the Oporto's railway station.

 

If you arrive in Lisbon, you can either take a taxi or a bus to the Railway Station (Gare do Oriente or Santa Apolónia). If you arrive in Oporto, you should take a taxi to the Campanhã Railway Station. There are daily trains connecting the three cities (Lisbon-Coimbra-Porto). You can see the schedules of the trains in Alfa/Intercity trains (the fast national connections) and Inter-Regional and Regional trains.

In both cases you should exit in Coimbra-B railway station, where you can take a train connection to the small Coimbra-A station in the city centre (this connection is free of charges). On the left side of this Central station you can take a bus (nº 1) direct to the University.

 

There are also daily buses connecting the three cities (Lisbon-Coimbra-Oporto). You can see the schedules of the buses in Rede Expressos. The buses stations are not located at the airports, so you will need to take either a taxi or a bus from the airport to the bus station.
