2nd European Intensive Course on Complex Analysis

"Complex Analysis and its generalizations (with applications to partial differential equations)"

Departamento de Matemática, Universidade de Coimbra, Portugal

11-29 March 1996

This intensive course will have a total of 48 hours of lectures and is at postgraduate level. Lecturers will have time available to discuss with the students. Successfully participating students will get a certificate. The course is mainly dedicated to students involved in the Galois network/Erasmus but open to all young mathematicians interested in Complex Analysis and its applications.
Titles of the lectures:

* Operators on Spaces of Harmonic, Analytic or Monogenic functions
* Infinite Dimensional Holomorphy
* Clifford Analysis

The lecturers will be Jan de Graaf (Univ. Eindhoven, Holland), J. Cnops (Univ. Ghent, Belgium), S. Dineen and P. Mellon (Univ. College Dublin, Ireland) and Wolfgang Sproessig (Univ. Freiberg, Germany)

This intensive course follows the 1st held in 1995 and there are plans for a continuation in 1997 covering other courses in the same area. The lecture notes of the 1st course are being published in Coimbra and some are already available (for more information please see the URL http://www.mat.uc.pt/publicacoes/textosB.html).
Living expenses can be partially covered by Erasmus. Students should apply to the Erasmus Coordinator of their home universities, and also to the University of Coimbra.
