Transportation to/from Óbidos

A bus transfer is offered by the Town of Óbidos for registered participants. It leaves Lisbon airport on Saturday, the 7th, at 14h00, with return on Tuesday, the 10th, arriving at Lisbon airport by 15h00.

Interested participants should confirm their arrival and departures with Paula Ganhão, from the local Secretariat, through the e-mail turismo@cm-obidos.pt

The best way to get to Óbidos is by bus, but there is a limited service on weekends and holidays (June, 10 is a national holiday in Portugal). There is a bus leaving Lisboa (Campo Grande) on Saturday at 16h45 and arriving in Óbidos at 17h55 (see also www.rodotejo.pt). Other connections via Caldas da Rainha, the nearest city just 5 Km to the North, are also possible (see www.rede-expressos.pt). Trains from/to Lisbon are slow but some stop in Óbidos (see www.cp.pt).

By car, there is motorway A-8 (direction Torres Vedras and Leiria) that connects Lisbon to Óbidos (80 Kms).
