On a generalization of Jordan algebras and other ternary algebras
Abstract In this talk we'll present a generalization of Jordan algebras based on the
generalization of one of its properties: the commutator of right multiplication operators
in a Jordan algebra is a derivation. We'll present an example of this generalization (for
the ternary case) and describe some of its properties. Further, we'll discuss other
examples of ternary algebras satisfying the ternary version of the above mentioned
property.
