Dear colleague,

we are pleased to announce a new - yet experimental - WWW information service for Mathematics, the Math-Net Links to the Mathematical World.

This is a first collection, put together by Joachim Luegger(ZIB), of about 700 mathematical resources and related links into the Internet consisting of

The Math-Net Links belong to the first steps of the "Konrad-Zuse-Zentrum fuer Informationstechnik Berlin" (ZIB) towards a "Distributed Information System for Mathematics", a project planned by the "Deutsche Mathematiker-Vereinigung" (DMV) for the years from 1996 to 1998.

We will integrate the Math-Net Links into the server of the International Mathematical Union (IMU) which is being build up at present by ZIB. You may find the related URLs in the homepage of the Math-Net Links.

Naturally, we hope for suggestions, comments, and also critizism from you in order to maintain this service in the long run, and to keep it up-to-date. Please send your correspondence to Joachim Luegger (luegger@zib-berlin.de). An activity of this kind lives from world wide contributions. We hope that you have an idea how to improve this service.

Please forward this information to everybody you think might be interested.

Have fun with Joachim's Math-Net Links.

Best regards

M. Groetschel
