Quantum corrections to supergravity
We present some recent work on the ${\\cal R}^4$ corrections in ${\\cal N}=1$ and ${\\cal N}=2$ four dimensional supergravity. We show that, with these ${\\cal R}^4$ corrections, some of
the auxiliary fields of Poincar\\\'e supergravity also get higher derivative corrections and, therefore, cannot be eliminated on-shell, as usual for auxiliary fields, without introducing an infinite
number of terms in the action. Furthermore, we show, both for ${\\cal N}=1$ and ${\\cal N}=2$, which auxiliary fields acquire derivatives and which do not, and we interpret these results in
terms of the breaking of conformal supergravity.
