Openbook decompositions for almost contact manifolds.
An almost contact manifold is an odd-dimensional manifold which admits a 2 form of maximal rank. This is in principle a condition weaker than being a contact manifold. Following the ideas of Giroux and Mohsen, we study the existence of open-book decompositions for such manifolds. For this it is necessary to use the asymptotically holomorphic theory for contact manifolds developed by Ibort, Martinez and Presas.
