The amplitudes of solar-like oscillations result from a balance between excitation and damping. The damping is due to several complex damping mechanisms while the excitation is attribued to turbulent motions which occur in the outer convection zone. Those motions generate acoustic energy which in turn is injected into the oscillation and thus ensures the excitation of the oscillations. Solar-like oscillations are therefore meant as stochastically excited oscillations and concern low massive stars (1Mo<M<2Mo) with an outer convective zone.

In this talk I will present recent results on the modeling of the stochastic excitation of solar and solar-like oscillations.
