These contracts are less secret than many people on this newsgroup think. I read last year [in the French Sport-Auto] a comment by Philip Morris's F1 boss that he doesn't like to receive faxes at hotels. In one occasion he received a lenghty fax that was not intended for him (the hotel personal made a mistake) and which was a copy of Schumacher's contract. It didn't do any harm, since he had already seen it. We see here 2 possible explanations for the terms of a contract being know and published by the specialized press: 1 - security on them is not as thight as you think and they might well end in a journalist's hands. 2 - the list of persons which know the contract is not very small since it includes the sponsors (they are either paying the team to accept the driver or in the case of Schumacher paying his salary). With many people involved the probability of someone talking too much is high. -- http://www.mat.uc.pt/~rps/f1/ an ex-tifoso since 95/11/13 .pt is Portugal| `Whom the gods love die young'-Menander (342-292 BC) Europe | Villeneuve 50-82, Toivonen 56-86, Senna 60-94
