Workshop on Nonparametric Inference - WNI2008

The Workshop on Nonparametric Inference will take place at the Department of Mathematics of the University of Coimbra.

The faculty of the Department of Mathematics maintains a high quality research activity, well established in terms of international cooperation, mostly developed in the framework of the Centre for Mathematics of the University of Coimbra (CMUC).

The Department of Mathematics has one of the best mathematical libraries in the Iberian Peninsula, holding more than 31 000 books and a large collection of scientific journals.

How to get there

The Department of Mathematics is in the main campus of the University of Coimbra, right in the heart of the city. This area is served by three city bus lines:

  • Line 1A (Estação Velha - Universidade), which connects the railway station Coimbra-B (where the trains stop) through the commercial centre with the historical part of the University;
  • Line 34 (Universidade - Pólo II), which connects the two main university campus.
  • Line 103 (Estação Nova - Universidade), which connects the city centre, where the Coimbra railway station is located with the University.

The area were the main university campus is located is served by several other city bus lines. These do not have bus stops inside the campus. They all stop at the Arcos do Jardim bus stop, which is located at, approximately, 2 minutes walk from the Department of Mathematics.
